Prints :
Estampe with pigmented ink is the most faithful reproduction of the work (with all its colors) using
an aqueous pigment ink printer.
Serigraphy with pigmented ink is first and foremost a work carried out by us to simplify the digitized work
(reduction of the number of colors, extraction of the guidelines, this is an interpretation of us
of the original work). The image obtained is printed, after agreement of the artist who approves the screen-printed version,
on an aqueous pigment ink printer.
Lithography : Classical technique (hydrophilic media + sketch with greasy inks then press it on heavy paper)
The different editions are:
Depending on the source:
A)- UNIQUE ORIGINAL (from a digital file): printed most of the time on a canvas and placed on a frame.
B)- ORIGINAL REPRODUCTION (from a digital file): printed most of the time on fine art paper and authorized by the author. The formats are different from the original single version: different size, sometimes different proportions.
C)- LITHOGRAPHY 'UNIQUE ORIGINAL' : drawing copied by the printer or made by the artist himself. The necessary drawing or drawings can be taken from a digital file if the work is precise.
D)- NON-ORIGINAL REPRODUCTION (from a photo or a scan of an original work in oil, or watercolor, acrylic, a tag,...) : Printed most of the time on fineart paper and authorized by the author. The formats are often different from the version in classic technique: different size, sometimes different proportions.
Depending on the quantity:
UNIQUE 1/1 : unique example of a digital work
FREE : printed in indefinite numbers, without numbering
LIMITED AND NUMBERED : these limited number prints are hand-numbered as 1/12, 2/12,... 12/12 if 12 issues. They are signed by the author or by the publisher/Art Printer if it is a work in the public domain.
NUMBERED ARTIST'S PROOF : Printing tests carried out by the artist himself in the studio, numbered in Roman numeral with the mention E.A. (Epreuve d'Artiste - in french) and signed by the artist
Authenticity
Most of our pigment prints are signed by the hand of the artist
The limited editions are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist
and stamped, dated with the name of ATELIER FACTORY1821 as a guarantee of quality. A crypted key could be added at the back of the numbered artwork.
